What is the best age to see an orthodontist?

Everyone is different, but we recommend having an initial examination with a specialist orthodontist at around the age of 8-10. This may seem quite young, but by this stage we are able to highlight potential teeth or jaw problems long before they actually occur.

At this stage we will discuss any potential future issues we may identify, and create a suitable ‘watch and wait’ plan to enable any possible early intervention treatment.  Or we may just simply need to wait out the last of those baby teeth before conventional treatment begins.

The good news is that you can have orthodontic treatment at any age and achieve amazing results.
