What is the ideal age to start treatment?

In some cases treatment can start as early as 8 or 10, however, the most common age for orthodontic treatment to begin is between 10 and 12 for girls and 12 to 14 for boys.  Usually, after all of the ‘baby’ or deciduous teeth have been replaced by permanent teeth.

There is no age limit on who will benefit from orthodontic treatment, and many adults are taking advantage of the new treatment technology that often requires less treatment time, and almost invisible braces options such as Damon Clear or Invisalign.
