What are some of my options for straightening my teeth?
There are many different types of braces, ranging from the traditional metal braces that most of us are familiar with, to almost clear aligners.
One of the first things people ask about are ‘invisible’ braces. Thanks to updated technology, the Damon bracket system that we use has a very small surface area making them very subtle. Find out more about the Damon System brackets that we use here.
An alternative to traditional braces is to use clear plastic removable aligners like those utilized in the Spark or Invisalign systems. These work to gradually move your teeth without braces. How long will it take?
Every person who has ever had their smile enhanced by MOG has asked the same question. How long does it take? Obviously every treatment is different, but on average you would expect to wear braces from 12 to 24 months. After your appliance has been removed we recommend wearing retainer plates to allow your newly adjusted bite to fix firmly in place. But we will explain all of this to you during your treatment phase.
The only way to get an accurate answer to this question is to discuss it with an orthodontist.
Are you smiling?
Straightening smiles and correcting misaligned bites is our passion. We would not have been in the business for over 40 years if it wasn’t. Nothing gives us greater joy than to work with our patients to achieve an outcome that makes them smile.
