As we mentioned, we are excited that over the past few years our team has expanded to include not only the expertise of Daniel, Barry and Adam – but our two new colleagues Jonathan Rooke and Margaret Wang. Exciting times ahead as we continue to embrace the best of the advancing technology in orthodontics and combine that with our fabulous patient care team to give your patients the best experience possible.
At MOG we are very proud of the relationships that we have built with you, our referring dentists. Ever since we began over 35 years ago, long before we were known as Melbourne Orthodontic Group, we appreciated the fact that you have trusted us with your patients. Together we have helped more than 50,000 patients smile! That’s certainly something to celebrate.
Our dynamic group can offer your patients the benefits of cutting edge orthodontics supported by our five locations and our team environment. We take advantage of opportunities to study the latest and best that orthodontics has to offer and regularly travel interstate and internationally. It is part of our ongoing oral hygiene education to remind patients to visit their family dentist regularly throughout their treatment, and of course, if we notice anything that needs attention during their time with us. We do not practice any general dentistry so will always refer your patients back to you for treatment.

One of the most exciting developments in recent years is the use of temporary anchorage devices (TAD’s) or mini screws, to treat some of our more challenging cases. The use of these tiny titanium screws allows us to achieve tooth movements that were previously impossible and for many patients, this may avoid the need for surgery or implant supported prostheses. We have now had a number patients successfully treated with TAD’s, and we anticipate that this technology will offer many innovative orthodontic solutions well into the future.

The best in ‘invisible braces’ has come of age. We are confident that Invisalign offers our patients excellent results with the added benefit of a highly aesthetic appliance that is suitable for mild to moderate crowding cases.
The cutting edge fixed appliance that eliminates the need for rubber modules (colours) through the use of a patented self-ligating bracket. We use this system exclusively for all of our fixed appliance cases, and we believe that it significantly reduces both treatment time and frequency of visits and increased the comfort for the majority of patients. Damon also offers an aesthetic (invisible) clear bracket – with all the benefits of the self-ligating technology.
