I have ‘chains’ what if they break?

The small linked coloured loops you might see around your bands are called chains.

The chains placed on your arch wires, as part of your Orthodontic treatment, are perfectly okay to be left during this time.

Depending on the length of time we are unable to see you, these may break or come loose.  Don’t worry, your braces will continue to hold your teeth in the correct position until we are able to see you and refit the chains.

Please ensure you maintain a high level of oral hygiene with your chains.
