Stubborn…I think that is the best word to describe him! But what would I know right? Henry has been suffering a little from the rear brackets rubbing on his cheeks as I did, and I am fairly certain most other new braces wearers do too.
“Use the wax Henry” I implored Obi-wan Kenobi style…but alas his rationale was that his mouth would toughen up and if he used the wax it would just be as bad when he didn’t use it.
In theory that kind of makes sense, however from experience I know that using the wax gives you comfort from the ‘bits that rub’ and at the same time your mouth does still toughen up to the point that you no longer need the wax.
But Henry’s way worked too, it just took a bit longer for the ulcers to heal as they had little respite, and every time he drank juice he remembered they were there and why he didn’t drink juice….
Sigh…all he had to do was ‘use the force’ uh…I mean wax! But what would I know right?
